E101: Micro Decisions
E101: Micro Decisions - How the small choices you make every day compound into your life outcomes.
Micro Decisions: Building Your Operating System
"Every small decision matters." The sugar in your coffee, the snooze button, the processed food. In isolation, they seem trivial. Compounded, they define you.
Newton's Third Law
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." If you drift through the day making random choices, you get random results.
The Operating System (OS)
You need a set of strict rules for Monday-Friday to avoid Decision Fatigue.
- Decision Fatigue: The more choices you make, the worse they get.
- Obama's Suits: He wore the same suit to save brain power for presidential decisions.
- The OS Strategy: Automate the basics (Breakfast, Gym time, Clothes).
- Example: "I wake up at 5:45, I put on my gym clothes. I don't negotiate."
Structure = Freedom
By automating the small stuff, you free up energy for the big stuff (Creativity, Business, Growth).
